Teaching Robots to Teach Robots

Some robots are programmed to learn from a demonstration and others watch something be done and repeat. Both of those have some flaws. But when researchers from MIT combined those two, the robots could learn how objects are moved and manipulated to perform almost any task that is involved with that object. So one robot shows another robot how to perform a task and then that robot shows another robot and so on.
The first robot to start the chain would learn from a motion planned movement generated on a computer, this allows the robots to learn easily how to use both of its arms. This program was first attempted on a bomb disposal robot, but only used for simple tasks such as opening doors and lifting bottles at the time.
